WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE SMURFS ANYWAY?
I'm not sure if anyone else is bothered by this, but seriously...what the fuck are they? lol They're little blue creatures that apparently taste good since Gargamel is always trying to cook their ass.
So, I did a little research on the little bastards. Apparently, their height is measured as 3 apples tall. Personally, I've always pictured them as smaller, but whatever. Anyway, Gargamel invented Smurfette to lure them back to his lair, but it failed. Les Schtroumpfs actually started out as a Belgian comic. As everyone knows smurfs love to eat "smurfberries." Actually, smurfberries were only in the American cartoon. In the comic, they only ate the leaves of the Smilax plant in which the smurfberries grow on. Except for Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Baby, Nanny, and Grandpa the smurfs are said to be 100 years old. However, they'd be like 119 years now since that was in 1990.
Some of you nerds may have known some of that. But listen to this smurf. There was actually a sort of smurf civil war in a 1972 comic. The village was divided into north and south separating the opinion of how to use the verb "smurf." How smurfed is that?! Apparently, there was a dispute in particular where the northerners said, "bottle smurfer," whereas the southerners called it a "smurf opener." The comic was called Schtroumpf vert et vert Schtroumpf (Smurf vs. Smurf). It was supposed to be a poke at French and Dutch speaking communities in Belgiam who were having a chtroumpfs (language war).
They even have their own memorial coin for the 50th anniversery on a 5 euro coin.
So now that you've learned your Smurf history. Resume your life and go get smurfed.
Peace.

Can't Teach an Old Phone New Tricks...
or can you?
So I figure if I can't find my phone, and I can't afford to buy a replacement even with the insurance, I'll just reactivate my old phone under this account. So I should have a phone in 24 hours because I have to wait to turn the phone on or it might "disrupt the installation." So whatever lol. Also I think I have to pay the bill before it works even though Brandi's phone works. lol. Whatever, I'm taking life one step at a time for right now. Hopefully I can get a job since unemployment ain't worth a shit. I shouldn't even expect my payments until another 3-5 weeks after I've been unemployed and registered for 2+ weeks now. Great job gov't.
Anyway. Brandi's parents are in Hawai'i and sent a few pics that I shooped a little. Her mom actually dropped her phone in the ocean but turns out the SD card is fine and still waiting to find out if the cameras ok. So enjoy the picture I did. It reminds me of a greeting card or something of that sort. Let me know what you think about it.

The Watchmen
So I went see The Watchmen when it came out. As for the movie, I have to say I didn't really care for it. I was tired, so I kinda fell asleep during the movie. Also, I couldn't get comfortable in the theater seats. So overall, I was kinda bored with it. Although, the art style really caught my attention. I really like the character design of Rorschach, based on the ink blot tests. I found a panel from the comic book and revamped it. I posted the result here. It came out pretty well I think.
A new technique I learned.
So I learned a new technique on photoshop to make a photo softer. Some of these I didn't take myself, I only photoshopped. Let me know what you think and drop me some ideas.
Brandi took this picture in NYC. Its a cemetery across the street from Ground Zero. It's the church that George Washington went to. I slightly desaturated it and softened the focus of the image using Photoshop.
